Overview

This lesson can be broken down into two lessons if needed. It offers designated time for students to prepare their Family Archives for presentation. Individual classrooms will have different media at their disposal and, in turn, this may inform ideas on how students will present their work. For example, some classes may choose to present on a digital platform while others may choose to exhibit in a physical space. Make decisions and choices as needed based on your class.

final presentation/exhibit of students’ family archives

The culmination of this module will be the presentation of the students’ Family Archives. Prior to the presentation, students may want to title their archive. It is at the teacher’s discretion whether the presentation be only for the class or open to the school community. If classrooms choose to present a full school exhibit, they might also consider opening it to the larger community.
